Adrenal Stress and Thyroid Dysfunction
(Scroll down to view symptoms list)
These two problems are so closely linked together we recommend treating them together.  Starting with a colon cleanse and then aliver cleanse, this will allow the body to clear the excess estrogen and help rid the body of excess yeast.  There are several things that need to happen for the adrenals and the thyroid to function correctly. the ph balance of the body need to be correct and yeast (usually present) needs to be in proper balance.  Diet is very important and you need to limit sugar because it does feed yeast and adds more stress to the adrenals, as do processed food and hormone fed meats, so be careful to eat less red meat and make sure that you get free range chicken and turkey as well as hormone free milk, eggs, butter and any other dairy products.  Vitamins are of great importance when the Endocrine system is not functioning correctly.

The following are our suggestions for exhausted adrenals and hypothyroid (under active thyroid).

1.   Get plenty of rest.  Go to bed no later than 10:00 pm in a dark room.

2.   Eat a healthy diet full of fresh vegetables, fruits and organic meat - eat broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower in limited amounts, only two or three servings per week. It can interfere with theiodine in the thyroid. Avoid caffeine, sugar, alcohol and processed foods.

3.   Usually you need iodine, (TW or Kelp and Dulse)

4.   Get your daily exercise.

5.   Use natural progesterone

6.    Take 500 to 1500mg of Pantothenic Acid (B-5) daily, plus B-12, B-6, and Folic Acid, 1 to 3 sublingual tablets per day, also 20 to 40 drops of Three B’s twice a day.  One or two tblsp of nutritional yeast on salad or popcorn will also help.

7.   Take 3000 to 5000mg of Vitamin C Ascorbate (we recommend Emergen-C by Alacier). Start with 1000mg and build up to bowel tolerance

8.   Make sure you take magnesium, calcium and cell minerals we recommend All Cell Salts.  You may already be taking a supplement if so you need 1000mg of calcium and 1000mgs of magnesium.

9.    Take Siberian Ginseng and Licorice Root* it will help supply much needed energy (20 to 40 drops 3 times a day).

10.  Chew or suck on Slippery Elm or DGL {a licorice candy) 30 minutes prior to   meals to help produce a protective mucous layer in the stomach to help with the digestion.

11)  There may be the need to use glandular support for the adrenal and thyroid.            The products we recommend are Thyroplex (1 capsule per day) for glandulars,              Isocort (take 2 in morning 2 mid-morning and 1at lunch and 1 around 2:00 or
3:00, reduce gradually after 1 month) for low cortisol levels.

12)  For adrenal fatigue you should start the day with a glass of sea salt water app.
1/8 to  1/4 tsp.

This protocol should give adrenal and thyroid glands the support they need to recover and function on their own after a period of 4 to 6 months In  severe cases it could take up to a year.

*Do not use Licorice Root if you have high blood pressure.
